Every Familly has a story

No family is perfect. Every family experience periods of stress, conflict, change and uncertainty.
Sometimes these challenges develop gradually. Other times they arise following major life events such as separation, trauma, mental health, incarceration, grief or changes in family roles.

Family therapy offers an opportunity to step back, better understand one another, improve communication and rebuild stronger, healthier relationships.

Together, we’ll explore what may be contributing to the challenges, understand the patterns keeping your family stuck, and identify practical ways to improve communication, strengthen relationships and create a calmer, more connected family environment.”

FAMILIES

Rather than focusing on blame or trying to identify one person as the problem, family counselling looks at what is happening between you.

Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping your family stuck, understand what each person is experiencing, and find practical ways to communicate differently, rebuild connection and create healthier patterns at home.

My role isn’t to decide who is right or wrong. It’s to help each person feel heard, understand what is happening within the family, and support you to find a healthier way forward together.

How Family therapy works

What sessions might look like

FLEXIBLE, TAILORED & FOCUSED ON WHAT YOUR FAMILY NEEDS

Together

Whole family sessions to explore challengers and understand the impact on individuals.

Smaller conversations

Individual sessions with parents, children or siblings when needed.

Practical change

Tools and strategies to use between sessions and after support for lasting growth and connection.

Co-Parenting & Separation Support

Separation changes the relationship between two adults, but it doesn’t change the importance of each parent in a child’s life.

I support parents to move away from conflict and towards respectful, child-focused co-parenting that prioritises their child’s wellbeing.

Together, we can work on improving communication, reducing conflict, creating consistency across homes and finding practical ways to move forward — while keeping your child’s needs at the centre.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Your family doesn't have to have it all figured out.

Support is available and change is possible.  Let's take the next step together.

  • Not necessarily. Family support is flexible and will look different depending on what is happening within your family. Sometimes it may be helpful to meet together, while at other times sessions may involve parents, caregivers, siblings or individual family members. We can discuss what will be most useful when you enquire.

  • Family sessions can support families experiencing conflict, communication difficulties, changes in relationships, parenting challenges, separation, grief, behavioural concerns or periods where everyone seems to be stuck in the same patterns. The focus is not on identifying one person as the problem, but understanding what is happening between people and finding healthier ways forward.

  • That's okay. Meaningful change can still begin when only some members of a family are ready to engage. We can work with the people who are willing to participate and consider whether involving others may be helpful later.

  • No. My role is not to decide who is right or wrong. I work to understand each person's experience while helping the family recognise patterns that may be contributing to conflict or disconnection. Sessions provide space for honest conversations alongside accountability, respect and clear boundaries.
